MK Personal Collection Rare Men's 18k Yellow Gold Cartier Santos Automatic Wristwatch Circa 1995. Featuring a 18k yellow gold Cartier Santos wrist watch in a three piece square case secured with 8 screws measuring 41mm x 34mm with the crown (Serial #296,001,XXX). It is attached to a sectional 18k yellow gold brick link Cartier bracelet measuring 7 1/8" in length. It has a Cartier automatic (eta) movement with rhodium-plated “fausses côtes” decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring that is in good running condition. It is topped with an original white painted dial with black Roman numerals and blue steel hands. The watch is triple signed and it is all overall original excellent condition. The Cartier Santos had its first beginnings in 1904 when Louis Cartier created a watch for his good friend, a Brazilian aviator named Alberto Santos-Dumont. The Cartier Santos was officially named and launched in 1911 with a similar style as the 1904 creation. The Cartier Santos changed in style throughout the years, including the Cartier Santos produced with a gold and steel bracelet in 1978.
