MK Personal Collection The present lot is part of a larger privately held collection and is intended for exhibition purposes only. Rare Omega Speedmaster Cal.321 Wristwatch Ref 2998-62 Circa 1962. This watch features a very rare Movement No. 19.832.106 that has a 17 jewel Cal.321 chronograph movement. It is topped with a rare original black dial with the more unusual plain signature "Swiss Made" on bottom with No (T's ). It has a luminous baton hour markers and outer 'racing' five minute divisions, subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9 for running seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour recording, white luminous filled baton hands, brushed and polished case with screw on back, black aluminium tachymeter bezel (faded), Omega crown flanked by twin chronograph pushers. As you can see from the photos the watch is in overall good condition. The Ref 2998 Speedmasters with straight lugs evolved in a very short period of time, from the 2998-1 to 2998-62. The 2998-62 was the final iteration of the reference before Omega shifted the reference number to 105.002, and all with rather nuanced variations.
