This is an 18k yellow gold Open Face Vacheron & Constantin Minute Repeating Split Chronograph circa 1905. This watch is triple signed Vacheron & Constantin and it measures 48.00mm in diameter. The three piece 18K yellow gold case is signed Vacheron & Consantin Geneve Chronometer Serial # 196.137. It is hand engraved on the outer back cover with a Family Coat Of Arms " FORTIS IN ARDUIS" Strength in Adversity. The watch features an ultra high grade rhodium-plated, fausses côtes" decoration movement with 18 jewels, signed Vacheron & Constantin, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring with a swan neck regulator and jeweled hammers Serial # 324.749 that is in good running condition. The watch will need an overhaul in order to keep accurate time. It is topped with an original white porcelain dial with black enamel Arabic numerals and sub-seconds. It is framed with an unusual 60 second outer telemetry chapter ring, blue steel hands signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve. As you can see from the photos the watch is in overall excellent condition.
