Rare Men's Vacheron Constantin Center Second Wristwatch Circa 1950's. This is a fine and very rare men's wristwatch by the Vacheron Constantin Watch Co. The watch features a three piece circular 18K yellow gold case with cut lugs, snap down water-proof back (Serial # 285.039) that is signed Vacheron Constantin. It measures 41.00mm x 34.00mm without the crown. It has a Cal. 454/3C rhodium plated Vacheron Constantin movement with fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, self-compensating flat balance spring, adjusted to temperatures, micrometric regulator with indirect sweep seconds (Serial # 446.651) that is in stop and go running condition. The watch will need an overhaul in order to keep accurate time. It is topped with a refinished gold painted dial with applied alternating gold Roman numeral indexes and center sweep-seconds. The watch comes with an 8" black lizard band. The watch is in overall good condition.
