MK Personal Collection - Rare Steel Triple Register Doxa Daytona Valjoux 72 Wristwatch Circa 1960's. This is a fine men's wristwatch made by the Doxa Watch Company. It features a circular steel case with applied beveled lugs measuring 35mm in width without the crown x 44mm in length (Ref 7198/4, Serial # 6001177). The watch is signed on the back of the case " Doxa Waterproof Anti-Magnetic " and it is topped with a mint condition silver painted original with triple registers and outer blue telemetry, applied triangular steel indexes that are signed with a solo "DOXA" in over sized lettering. The dial is really nice and super rare. As you can see from the photos the movement is in mint condition as well. It comes with a Valjoux 72 nickel plated 17 jewel, 24 hour movement with a bimetallic balance. The watch is in non running condition and will need a service in order to keep accurate time. This watch was purchased from the original owner. He paid $35.00 for this Doxa at the PX which is a type of retail store operating on a military base during his military service in North Korea.
