Rare Rolex Submariner Ref 5512 Superlative Chronometer Wristwatch Circa 1966. This very fine and rare men's circular wristwatch by Rolex Watch Co., Submariner Model Ref 5512/5513 in a three piece steel case measures 47.60mm x 43.00mm including the crown (Serial #1,552,XXX). The watch has an original black dial with luminous round, triangular and baton indexes and luminous "skeleton" hands. Cal 1570 rhodium plated 26 jewel movement with a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to five position and temperatures, shock absorber, self compensating Brequet balance spring, microstella regulating screws (Serial #D980,XXX) that is in running condition. The watch does need an overhaul. It is attached to a steel oyster Rolex bracelet that measures 8 1/4" long. The bracelet is broken. (AKSS)
