MK Personal Collection - Rare LeCoultre Galaxy Wristwatch Automatic Movement Ref 1300 Circa 1957 with Archive Papers from Jaeger-LeCoultre . The watch features a two piece solid 14k white gold circular case with applied triangular lugs that measure 42.00mm lug to lug x 35.00mm without the crown. The watch is signed on the inside of the case "Cased & Timed in the USA By LeCoultre Serial #1.246.204, Ref 1300". As you can see from the photos the watch is in overall excellent condition. The watch is attached to the original black band terminating with a 14K white gold buckle signed LeCoultre. This watch features the ultra rare automatic version and it is fitted with the legendary P 812 caliber movement with beautiful rhodium-plating. It has a 17 jewel straight line lever escapement (Serial # 1.272.824). The movement is not in good running condition and it will need a service. The watch does run but it stops after a few hours. The watch is topped with the original two-tone silver dial with applied diamond-set indexes at the center a revolving disc activated by the winding-crown with an applied diamond for the minutes and an inset diamond for the hours indication. As you can see from the photos the watch is in overall excellent condition and it is a solid 9 out of 10. Please note the last one of these highly collectible watches sold at Dr. Crott public auction in Germany, Lot 305, in 2016. There were only a handful produced. The watch is accompanied with papers from Jaeger LeCoultre Archives stating that the watch was produced in 1957, Model Galaxy .
