Late 19th Century Natural Carved Jade Immortal Necklace. This is an exquisite late 19th Century natural carved jade immortal necklace. The necklace is centrally set with a massive hand carved jadeite jade pendant that features one of the immortals with a mottled apple green body color and very good transparency. It measures 3 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide. It is suspended from an interwoven green silk cord interspersed with 18 jade beads that measure 8.30mm in circumference. The necklace measures 26" long and weighs 56.14dwt/87.30grams. As you can see from the photos, the necklace is in overall excellent condition. These early large jade necklaces are getting harder to find with the increased demand from the emerging Asian market all "Things Asian" are increasingly harder to find and much more expensive then even 10 years ago.
