MK Personal Collection Early WWI Waltham Canteen Depollier Trench Waterproof Wristwatch Ref 2625 Circa 1919. The watch features a highly unusual four piece circular silver case with a rarely seen 14K yellow gold Insulation disk with a highly unusual insulated 14k yellow gold back cap with applied wire lugs and screw down waterproof back measuring 42.00mm including the crown x 45.00mm lug to lug. It is stamped on the inside back cover "J. Depollier & Son N.Y. 830 Fine 218". The watch is stamped on the back of the case with patent dates "Feb 22,1916 - Jun 10, 1919". It has a high grade Waltham 7 jewel movement topped with an original white porcelain dial with large luminescent Arabic indexes. These early waterproof models are highly unusual and prized by American watch collectors worldwide.
