MK Personal Collection - Exquisite Belle Epoque Diamond and Sapphire Wristwatch by Cartier, European Watch & Clock Co. The watch features an early 20th Century design By Cartier. The watch is hand crafted in a three piece circular platinum case that is flanked with applied stylized bow lugs measuring 23mm in width without the crown (Serial 766/C434) with Makers Marks for Edmond Jaeger. The watch is attached to a matching platinum band. The watch has a high grade 18 jewel movement signed extra fine "European Watch & Clock Co." It has a nickel plated lever escapement, topped with a silver painted dial with black enamel Gothic indexes and blue steel hands signed Cartier. It is set into a circular platinum case with a beautiful two toned micro-pave design set with rose cut diamonds and calibre cut sapphire borders. This "Russian" design was made famous by Carl Faberge and copied throughout Europe at the turn of the 20th Century. The watch is in overall good condition but does not keep accurate time.
