MK Personal Collection Early WWI American Waltham Canteen Depollier Trench wristwatch Circa 1919. The watch features a three piece circular steel case with a highly unusual insulated 14k yellow gold back cap with applied wire lugs and screw down waterproof case. The watch is stamped on the back of the case with patent dates "Feb 22,1916 - Jun 10, 1919". It has a high grade Waltham 17 jewel movement topped with an original silver painted dial with large luminescent Arabic indexes and sub-seconds. These early waterproof models are highly unusual and prized by American watch collectors worldwide.
