MK Personal Collection Rare Men's Steel Omega Ploprof (PloProf ) Seamaster 600 Wristwatch Circa 1970's. This is a rare massive steel three piece patented divers case topped with a revolving graduated bezel for decompression times with red security push-button at 2 o'clock to lock the bezel, hooded lugs, screwed-in and protected winding crown at 9 o'clock, bezel inclined and reeded, flat back with horizontal anti-slip groove pattern Serial # 166.077 measuring 45.40mm lug to lug x 55.50mm including the crown, sapphire grooved crystal, original matte blue with painted dial with luminous baton indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, aperture for the date, luminous white hour and seconds hand and luminous orange minute hand. The watch has a high grade Swiss automatic Cal 1002 20 jewel movement that is in running condition. The watch was developed in conjunction with Comex and the Jacques Cousteau. Omega launched its first waterproof watch designed and built solely for the professional commercial divers in 1970. Seamaster 600 was nicknamed PloProf, which is short for Plongeur Professionnel (Professional Diver in French).
