MK Personal Collection - Rare Men's Unique Steel Cut Lugs Omega Seamaster 1000 Wristwatch Circa 1974. This is a rare massive steel three piece patented divers case topped with a revolving graduated bezel for decompression times with hooded lugs, screwed-in and protected winding crown at 9 o'clock. The bezel is inclined and reeded, flat back with horizontal anti-slip groove pattern Serial # 166.096 that measures 47.00mm lug to lug x 49.00mm including the crown. The watch has a sapphire grooved crystal with an original matte blue with painted dial with luminous baton indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions and aperture for the date. The watch has luminous white hour and seconds hand, luminous orange minute hand and a high grade Swiss Automatic Cal 1012 20 jewel movement that is in running condition (Serial # 38.918.298).
The Seamaster 1000 was launched in 1971 and became the first diver's watch to be rated to depth of 1000 meter. By placing the winding crown at 9 o'clock, Omega made these watches to be worn on the left arm to minimize the risk of damages while divin
