This fine and rare men's wristwatch by the Patek Philippe Watch Co., features a "Tour Eiffel", No. 975131, Case No. 671363, Ref. 2441. The watch is also called "Pagoda" and production of this reference started in 1948. It features a two piece rectangular, flared, "bombé" 18k pink gold case. It has a Cal. 9-90 tonneau-shaped Patek Philippe rhodium plated movement with fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator that is in excellent running condition. Patek Philippe started production of the reference 2441 in 1948 and continued until at least 1955 with a total of approximately only 200 pieces made, the majority cased in yellow gold. The pink gold example of this iconic wristwatch is thought to have been produced in approximately 60 examples. This model, often referred to as the "Eiffel Tower", remains easily identifiable by its distinct flared design, resembling the base of the famous French landmark.
