Rolex 18k "Coin Edge" Anti Magnetic Chronograph Wristwatch Ref 4062 Circa 1950's. This very rare and fine men's Rolex Anti-Magnetic Chronograph wristwatch comes in a three-body 18k pink gold case construction case with a coin-edge band and thin teardrop lugs, sloped bezel and snap-on back featuring a rare Rolex chronograph Cal. 23 rhodium-plated, 17 jewel movement with a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring and index regulator topped with a original white painted dial with applied pink gold dot and Arabic 6/12 indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions with Arabic five minutes/ seconds, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer tachometer and telemeter scales. The watch is in overall very good condition.
The Rolex Anti-Magnetic chronograph ref. 4062 was introduced to the market in the early 1940’s bearing a design that perfectly reflects the exciting era for chronograph timepieces, the reference was discontinued in 1963. Admired for featuring unusual coin-edged casebands and the side of the lugs, some examples featured a satin finished caseband referenced 4062L with “L” meaning “Lisse” (French for “smooth”).
