MK Personal Collection The present lot is part of a larger privately held collection and is intended for exhibition purposes only. Rolex GMT Master Steel Wristwatch Ref 1675 Circa 1979 with Box and Papers. This is a vintage Rolex GMT Master Ref 1675 from 1979 so called Pepsi Cola because of the red and blue bezel. It comes in a three piece steel oyster case with a screw down waterproof back Ref 1675, Serial # 5.631.551 measuring 47.00mm x 42.00mm including the crown guards. It is attached to a steel oyster Rolex band # 580 78360 that measures 8". The watch has a Cal. 1570 rhodium-plated Rolex movement with 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring and Microstella regulating screws. The watch needs a complete overhaul and the rotor is loose. It is topped with a GMT Master black dial and date widow at 3:00 o'clock. As you can see from the photos the watch is in overall very good original condition. It is accompanied with the original fitted box and papers.
