Super Rare Men's Rose Gold Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" Wristwatch Ref 1593 Circa 1947. The watch comes in a two piece rectangular 18K rose gold case with flared lugs Serial #660.XXX and topped with an original beveled glass crystal. The watch has a high grade Swiss Patek Philippe tonneau-shaped movement with rhodium-plated fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance with a self-compensating steel Breguet balance spring and it is in excellent running condition Serial #972.594. It is topped with an original silver painted dial with applied rose gold arrow indexes and rose gold hands. It terminates with an 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle. The watch is in overall excellent condition. It is close to (NOS) new/old stock. The watch is in mint condition.
Reference 1593 was launched in 1944 and is known among collectors as the "hour glass" model due to its streamlined form with the concave and curved sides. A formidable reminder of times past, this classic watch was available until around 1967
