Unique Diamond Diamond 18K Yellow Gold Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" Wristwatch Ref 1593 Circa 1955. This is a super rare and unique diamond dial 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" wristwatch. The watch features a classic two piece rectangular design with flared lugs Serial #690.396. The watch is topped with an original beveled glass crystal. The watch has a high grade Swiss Patek Philippe tonneau-shaped Cal. 9-90 movement with rhodium-plated fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance with a self-compensating steel Breguet balance spring and it is in excellent running condition Serial #976.625. It is topped with an original unique silver painted diamond dial with applied indexes and with gold hands. This is a Special Order Piece! The watch terminates with an 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle. The watch is in overall very good condition. Reference 1593, launched in 1944, is one of Patek Philippe's best designs ever given to a rectangular wristwatch. For over 20 years, this model was available in gold, only few examples were cased in platinum. The present watch fitted with the attractive diamond-set dial represents a most elegant version of this reference in yellow gold. Accompanied with Archives from Patek Philippe.
